Shu (ripe) Pu-Erh tea from Yunnan, distinguished not only by its rich, earthy character but also by its unusual production method. The fermented tea is packed into bamboo and roasted over fire, adding subtle bamboo aromas and a gently roasted character to the classic Pu-Erh flavour.
Leaf: small, irregular, reddish-brown leaves pressed into a cylindrical shape.
Cup: clear, rich chestnut brown.
Character: mild, soft and earthy, with subtle bamboo and roasted notes.
Special features: the tea originates in the Pu-Erh region and is then fermented in Menghai for more than two months. It is later taken to Guangnan, where it is packed into bamboo and roasted over fire. Its journey ends in Kunming, where it is stored in favourable climatic conditions.
A Pu-Erh that travels a long way to reveal a completely different character in your cup.
